Happy Holiday

Well mates...
The School Year is over. We've spent a lot of time together: we experiences good and bad times but we've been a very good group.
I'm very glad to spend one year with all of you and I'm really proud of your work but, above all, I'm proud of you as persons. You've shown me many times your human qualities and that's the best prize as teacher.

Look at this frog!

Imagine a funny situation...

One day, you get up, as usual, you go to the kitchen and... Surprise!! Your mum has turned into a frog!

You run to your brother/sister's bedroom to wake her up but... She's also turned into a frog.

You dress up quickly and you go to school... Oh God! When you get into the glass, you see that all your friends are frogs! And, suddenly, a very big frog enters the class and shout: "Come on little frogs, sit down!".

What happens? What should you do?

Fira d'Artés

Hi everybody! How was your weekend? Probably, most of you have gone to "La Fira d'Artés"!

How was it? Did you have a good time? Did you spend a lot of money?

What did you like the most?

Now... Imagine that you are a member of the organization of "La Fira d'Artés". Have you plans for next year? What are you going to do?

I suggest to do a funny activity: write some funny or interesting plansfor next "Fira". For example: "Next year we are going to invite a famous football player and we are going to interview him".

Come on! Let's write some plans... And we are going to read the funniest ones in class!

Let's go to Port Aventura!!

Hi everybody!! Are you enjoying your holiday? We already have "four days off" so, have a good time because you need energy for the last three months of 2nd ESO!!

Have you done anything special during these days? Ot told me he is going to do nothing at all (only playing), Jordi F. explained in the blog that he is looking forward to go to Port Aventura. What about you?

And... Have you any plans for our trip to Port Aventura? What are you going to do there? Are you going to spend all the day in "Dragon Khan" or in the shops? Where are you going to have lunch? Come on! Let's write about your plans!

My plans for the weekend

Hi people!! Have you decided what are you going to do next weekend?

Are you going to go to some exciting place or are you going to stay at home? Are you going to play a football or basketball match? Are you going to go out with your friends or family?

This weekend I'm going to meet some old friends from University. I'm going to meet them in Barcelona and we are going to have dinner together.

On Saturday I'm going to go to the mountain with my family (my sister, my brother-in-law, my nephew Marc and my niece Anna). After that, I'm going to meet my cousin and after having dinner, we are going to go to the cinema.

On Sunday I'm going to rest all the day because on Monday I'm going to work again and I need energy!

Exam - 7th March

Hi everybody! How are you?

Remember that tomorrow you've got an Exam (Unit 5).

You should review all the vocabulary that we've studied in the unit (pollution, materials, verbs related to the environment...). For the grammar activities you should study and review the activities that we did in class related to the use of will or won't and to the use of the First Conditional.

There will also be a reading activity and the writing activity. In the writing activity, you will have to write a composition about life in the future (I will give you some words to use).

So, study a lot and... GOOD LUCK!

A funny game

Hi people!
How are you today? Have you had a nice weekend? I hope so...
Today I suggest you a very funny and interesting game.
In the USA there is a very popular TV programme called "Are you smarter than a Fifth Grader?". It's a Quizz Show in which some adult contestants play answering questions against boys and girls who are in the Fifth Grade in school (like Fifth of Primary in Catalonia). And what are the questions about? The questions are about different topics studied by the Fifth Grade students (Geography, Language, Maths...). The most funny thing about it is the "punishment" for the adult contestants that lose. If the adult contestants lose the game, they admit and tell the audience (in front of the camera)the following statement: "I'm not Smarter than a Fifth Grader".
